Morning meeting is a a wonderful way to build classroom community. It helps set the tone for the day and creates a daily routine that provides security and comfort for the students. Morning meeting is the place where children and the teacher can share news about what's going on at home and at school.
Sequence of Morning Meeting 1. Day In Learning- Review of the objectives to be learned that day 2. News & Announcements- Children gather on the carpet for school news 3. Calendar Math-we review math concepts by using a daily calendar routine that I developed to be used on the SmartBoard 4. Sharing- Celebrity of the week and/or Table Share activities similar to the traditional show and tell that parents may remember from when they were in school
